Beyond the Veil - The Way to Revival

The path to true revival has never been paved with mere programs or personalities,it is found in the sacred journey beyond the veil. When Jesus cried out from the cross and gave up His spirit, the veil of the temple was torn in two (Matthew 27:51). This was no small tear. Heaven itself declared that the way into the Holy of Holies, the intimate presence of God, was now wide open.

This is the place where revival begins.

The Holy of Holies is not just a concept; it’s the throne room of God where transformation happens. Paul wrote, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory..." (2 Corinthians 3:18). This is not theoretical. It’s tangible, it’s experiential, and it’s what we’re contending for at every Ablaze gathering.

My heart for Ablaze is to see a company of men and women who are not content to linger in the outer courts. We long for the place of His manifest presence. Like Rees Howells and his students in the Bible College of Wales, we want to be a people marked by deep intercession and heaven birthed authority. Their lives were transformed in that holy place and history was shaped because they dared to go beyond the veil.

As Leonard Ravenhill said, “The man who is intimate with God will never be intimidated by men.” Intimacy is born in the secret place. The early revivalists knew it. Charles Finney described how he would be “so filled with the Spirit” that even the strongest men would weep under conviction of sin. Where did that power come from? From time spent in the presence. From the Holy of Holies.

A.W. Tozer once wrote, “The world is perishing for lack of the knowledge of God, and the Church is famishing for want of His presence.” This is the ache of revival. Not to build a name, but to host His name, to be clothed with power from on high, not in word only, but in burning fire and holiness.

The way to revival is the way of access, access made possible by the torn veil. Every Ablaze gathering is a cry to God: “Take us in.” Not just into emotional worship or good teaching, but into the place where we see Him, hear Him, and are changed.

So come boldly. Let us draw near. Let us be that company who dwells beyond the veil, transformed by His glory, filled with His Spirit, and sent out in His authority.

This is our heart. This is the way to revival.
